I am pleased to announce that InfoVista's network planning and optimization software solution, Mentum Planet, has been named a winner of the 2012 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Awards by TMC and the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY and CUSTOMER magazines. This award honors products and services that stand out within the telecommunications industry.

Rich Terhani, CEO of TMC, commented: “The companies chosen for this award have truly demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and innovation.” We are honored that Mentum Planet is acknowledged amongst the industries best.

With mobile traffic increasing globally, Mentum Planet is an important tool for mobile operators to optimize and plan for their future network investments. In particular, small cell deployments have become a widely-pursued path for mobile operators to better manage and monetize the demand for data. Infonetics Research has predicted that 86 percent of mobile operators plan to deploy small cells, which will account for about 25 percent of all mobile traffic, by 2016. This means that mobile operators need to have the proper technology and roll-out strategy in place to optimize CAPEX and OPEX going forward.

Mentum Planet assists operators with planning, engineering, deploying and managing their heterogeneous networks, in particular their use of small cells. The purpose is to help operators relieve the effects of the capacity crunch on their macro networks.

This award, along with our 2013 Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award and our 2013 Pipeline Award for “Innovations in Networking,” shows our commitment to moving the telecommunications industry forward, as well as our commitment to helping our customers improve their businesses. We are humbled to be recognized amongst industry innovators such as AT&T, Red Hat and ShoreTel. We will continue to improve ourselves and create products that will help the future of telecommunications.
