Cisco Live! Americas: Evolution to Cloud Services
By Peter Christensen, Product Marketing Manager, APM, InfoVista
The evolution to the cloud is happening and accelerating. However, enterprise IT organizations have concerns about moving to cloud-based services. They understand the benefits of cloud and many have stated that they will implement some form of the cloud. Unfortunately, there are still questions being raised around reliability, performance and visibility, especially with infrastructure as a service (IaaS) or service provider cloud services.
Currently, most enterprises control their own infrastructures and have in-depth visibility into performance of their networks and applications and this control can be difficult to give up. When offering IaaS, communication service providers (CSPs) need to be able to show proof that their offerings can provide the same level of service as if the customer were doing it themselves.
In order to reassure their customers CSPs have to be able to provide a peek behind the curtain into the performance of their cloud services.
This week at Cisco Live! Americas, we will be discussing the service provider’s perspective on offering IaaS and how to overcome some of the common obstacles faced when providing cloud-based services and why CSPs should provide customizable levels of granularity for cloud performance reporting, demonstrating high performance standards to customers and increasing quality of service (QoS) for cloud services.
To learn more about what value service providers can add to their IaaS offerings, we invite you to attend our presentation at Cisco Live! Americas, taking place at 11:00am 30am PDT on Thursday, June 14th at the Cisco booth.
Also be sure to stop by InfoVista’s booth (#330) to discuss how our cloud performance management solutions can improve CSPs’ cloud offerings.
